Mum's Homemade is a company making artisan jams, chutneys and wicked English desserts such as Sticky Toffee Pudding and Salted English Toffee.
It was founded in October 2008 by Margaret Heafey and Briony Bax. When faced with their children getting older and leaving the nest, they decided to put all their years' experience
of jam making and cooking for a crowd to good use. 10% of all profits generated from sales are donated to The Orphan Support League. Saving the world one jar of
jam at a time is the Mum's motto.
Based in the East Bay of San Francisco, Mum's is able to source 90% of the fruit and vegetables that are used in the jams and chutneys locally,
with many of them coming directly from the grower. No additives are used following the Mum's philosophy of keeping things plain and simple.
Small batches of jams are made by hand in a commercial kitchen in Richmond and use the fewest ingredients possible.
Mum's Sticky Toffee Puddings are renown in Piedmont and are made using the finest Coachella Valley Dates. The cake is a moist, rich sponge cake and
each one comes with an 9 oz jar of Sticky Toffee Sauce to be heated and poured over the cake by the customer.
Because we are a small company we are concentrating on supplying gourmet grocery stores throughout the East Bay but we are happy to ship any of our
products.
